What music did you listen to as a child?!
As a child, I listened to both classical and electronic music, all thanks to my parents, my father was once a DJ and my mother played the piano well. Godov ather was also a DJ, so even from childhood it was clear that in the future we would make music. Often our parents included such performers as: Modern Talking, Anigma, Bad Blu Boys, Tiesto.
When was the first time that you realized that you liked electronic music?!
I got a real interest in electronic music in my teens when I started going to nightclubs. I remember how a DJ played a track in the melodic tecno style and I was amazed how much I liked this style and that I wanted to create something similar that would not only to be a guest of the party but also to be the one behind the DJ equipment. Gleb has been interested in music since childhood and even knows how to play the drums. His interest in creating electronic music came to him when he began working in the studio of one of the local music producers. His interest grew and very quickly he mastered Ableton and Logic to create his own compositions.
When was the first time you saw a DJ in a club?!
The first time that I and Gleb visited a nightclub was somewhere around 15 years old. These were performances by local tecno and melodic tecno DJs. Later, when I lived in Europe, I began to attend performances by big DJs who later began to inspire me, such as: Adriatique, ARTBAT, Mathame.
Which producers/artists/acts inspire you? !
As I already said, we are inspired by many artists for example: Mathame, Paradoks, Mind Against, KAAST, Marc DePulse. I like them for their ability to mix different styles but at the same time sound in harmony, feel the crowd, but also convey their story through music. These guys are pretty cool.
What was the last album that you downloaded/bought? !
One of the last tracks purchased was Paradoks - The Last Time.
What releases do you have on the horizon?!
We are currently working on several projects, a track in the style of melodic techno and indi dance. In the indi dance track we will use our own vocals, so this is a very creative project and we think it will not leave listeners indifferent.
Where can we hear you perform?!
Since we just created our duet, we are still in the process of performing together. Before that, we performed separately, DJ Godlov in Ukraine, DJ ELENA (UA) in Ukraine and Europe. Now we will begin our performances from our homeland Ukraine and then target audiences in Europe. You can follow the announcements of our performances and new releases on our social networks.
Tell us more about the set you made for Trip Records?!
For Trip Records we created an hour-long mix in which we mixed melodic techno and indie dance. In the mix we tried to convey the vibe of our performances, where the melody not only rocks the crowd but also touches the heart. The mix contains tracks from various producers such as Moderat, Marc DePulse and of course our first track on behalf of Timelesss. You will definitely like this track, but don’t take my word for it - listen and check !
